All of our vineware, stoneware and raku pottery is hand crafted, original and unique. Vapor glazed pots are coated with over 25 thin coats of glaze, then fired in an electric kiln. As the kiln cools down metallic chlorides and nitrates are introduced. The chemicals vaporize and the swirling fumes coat the pots with iridescent colors, similar to the production of iridescent glass. Vines and leaves entwine our high-fired Vineware platters, mugs and bowls, forming handles, knobs and feet. They are a dramatic synthesis of the rustic and the refined. Our Carolina Flaming Rock Oil Lamps are made from natural stone quarried in the Appalachian Mountains of Western North Carolina.
